June 26, 2008: BPSOS-Louisville is organizing the city's first large-scale free health fair for the Vietnamese community. In partnership with the biopharmaceuticals firm Gilead Sciences, Inc., the branch team is putting together an event that will focus on a wide variety of health screenings (e.g., Hepatitis B, blood pressure, cholesterol, eye exam), information on prevention, educational workshops, family activities, and consciousness-raising about key health issues facing the Vietnamese-American community.
