June 26, 2008: BPSOS-Louisville is organizing the city's first large-scale free health fair for the Vietnamese community. In partnership with the biopharmaceuticals firm Gilead Sciences, Inc., the branch team is putting together an event that will focus on a wide variety of health screenings (e.g., Hepatitis B, blood pressure, cholesterol, eye exam), information on prevention, educational workshops, family activities, and consciousness-raising about key health issues facing the Vietnamese-American community.

The Free Vietnamese Health Fair will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Americana Community Center, which is located at 4801 Southside Drive in Louisville. For more information, please contact branch manager Brooke Ha at (502) 368-1491.
