From Victims to Champions
In the 1980s, BPSOS operated voluntary missions to protect Vietnamese boat people, rescuing them from the high seas and defending their refugee rights in first-asylum countries.
Over the past decades, we have expanded our services to aid immigrants, refugees, victims of trafficking, disadvantaged communities, and survivors of violence in the United States and overseas.

Resettlement of Recognized Refugees
Through our advocacy efforts and legal assistance, Vietnamese refugees in Thailand have been resettled to different countries.
Combating Trafficking in Persons
Major milestone achieved in exposing labor trafficking syndicates in Vietnam: Country downgraded to “Tier 3” ranking by U.S. State Department.
Promotion of Religious Freedom
Designation of Vietnam to the Special Watch List (SWL) for severe violations of religious freedom.
